Honoring the Weaver Copper Beech

Honoring the Weaver Copper Beech In-Person

Join us on the Weaver Library lawn to help honor our beloved Copper Beach tree.

While the Weaver Copper Beech tree may be in the final stages of life, we come together to celebrate its grandeur and important role. This event will begin with a Maypole activity which represents spring and renewal that's been practiced for hundreds of years. All ages are welcome to join.

We will then welcome speakers Mayor Bob DaSilva and RI licensed arborist Matthew "Twig" Largess. Mr. Largess has decades of experience running public tree planting ceremonies throughout the US and is proud to help honor our very own Copper Beech.

In the event of rain, Mayor Bob DaSilva and Matthew will still speak inside Weaver Library in the program room at 6:30pm.
